Competition Terms & Conditions

The competition/promotion begins on Friday 8th May 2009 and will close on the 18th June 2009. The prize draw will be made on the 19th June 2009 by the Isle of Wight Radio live on air and one lucky winner will be selected from all the jobs that have been put on the website during this period.

There is no limit to how many jobs the entrant can enter on the website but cannot duplicate jobs. £1.00 will be added to the prize fund for every new job added during this period. For example if 200 new jobs go on the website then that is the amount you will win.

Wightquote reserve the right to add additional terms and conditions in relation to this promotion and the prize awarded.

The draw will be selected under independent supervision.

The winner's name and area location will be made available on the website.

In the event of circumstances arising outside of Wightquote's control, which make it necessary to suspend, change, or cancel this promotion, Wightquote reserves the right to do so or change the promotion at any time or change the entry methods.

If Wightquote has knowledge of, or suspects, illegal activity Wightquote will disqualify the entrant or entrants.

Definitions

Wightquote - the owners and operators of Wightquote.co.uk

Customer - users of the free service to advertise work to be undertaken.

Supplier - users that have paid to quote on work displayed by the Customer.

3rd Party Advertiser - companies that have paid to advertise on Wightquote.co.uk

User Agreement

  1. Wightquote take no responsibility for users' content.
  2. The terms and conditions of any contract or acceptance of work will be an agreement between the Customer and Supplier, not with Wightquote.
  3. Wightquote shall not be liable to either Customers or Suppliers due to unforeseen loss or damage arising from conditions beyond their control, such as power failures or internet service disruption.
  4. Wightquote have the right to accept or decline any advertisement from any Supplier, Customer or 3rd Party.
  5. Wightquote have the right to suspend or remove any Supplier, Customer or 3rd Party Advertiser at its discretion and without notice.
  6. Wightquote give no guarantee as to the accuracy of the information provided by Suppliers, Customer or 3rd Party Advertisers.
  7. All users should check the information that is provided is correct, any wrongful information should be reported to Wightquote, who will investigate inaccurate information and request it be corrected.

Suppliers

  1. Wightquote takes no responsibility for the content of Customers advertisements.
  2. Wightquote provides an opportunity for you to quote on jobs advertised by Customers.
  3. Any contract will be direct between the Customer and the Supplier.
  4. Customers and Suppliers are advised to agree the terms and conditions of the contract, timescales, payment terms etc in writing before any work commences.
  5. Quotations, agreements or contracts should be provided to the Customer in writing to safeguard yourself.
  6. Payment for the opportunity to quote for jobs can be on a monthly or annual basis.
  7. Payments will be made through paypal a secure payment method.
  8. Membership is not transferable.
  9. Suppliers must agree to these terms and conditions and pay the fees in accordance to the payment schedule.
  10. You have the right to cancel within 14 days (Consumer Protection Act 2002) Distance Selling Regulations, you should notify us by email.
  11. If we have started to provide a service to you, the right to cancel is not valid.

Customers

  1. Customers may use this service for the sole purpose of obtaining quotes from Suppliers.
  2. Customers are advised to check the Suppliers' Public Liability Insurance before any work commences.
  3. Customers are advised to check any registered trade association membership such as Corgi, NIC, ect before any work commences.
  4. Customers are advised to ask for references and to obtain Police Checks when requiring work with Children or Care Services.
  5. Any contract will be direct between the Customer and the Supplier.
  6. Customers and Suppliers are advised to agree the terms and conditions of the contract, timescales, payment terms etc in writing before any work commences.

Competitions

  1. Any competition must have a minimum of 50 applicants before a Prize Draw can take place.
